OmniBus Systems deliver master control, automation, playout and media content management solutions to television and telecom operators across the globe. Omnibus’s transmission, newsroom, content management and workflow solutions address every area of television, mobile TV and IPTV related operations.

First launched in 1994 with London’s BBC Television Centre studios as its first U.K.-based client, Omnibus helped the BBC become the first in the world to acquire totally automated control of their own transmissions. Over the following six years, the OmniBus Systems product portfolio grew to incorporate integrated media management, news automation and archive management, with solutions delivered to many other TV companies in mainland Europe.

In 2001 the first generation of the Colossus multi-channel automation system was launched, and by 2003 the company had launched its G3 architecture with a range of flexible, scalable and robust products based on it. With the launch of the OmniBus OPUS content management and workflow suite, the company expanded rapidly, the customer list now including many worldwide operators on most contintents

In 2006 OmniBus began a new chapter with the launch of its groundbreaking iTX technology. This helps broadcasters rapidly realise their visions of a fully IT-controlled environment using standard IT hardware and advanced software throughout the broadcast chain. This evolution continues with the integration of the tOG 3D graphics rendering engine from rtSoftware working within the iTX suite. Delivery of a stream of further benefits in automation, delivery and quality follow from programme inception to live, on-air programming and graphics. The power of the system delivers previously unimaginable sophistication and absolute mastery over content at the same time.
