Line tracking works on any sport played on line based playing surfaces. Whilst it works best on content with well painted and defined pitch lines, pseudo cameras can always be relied on for engaging analysis graphics when the feed is poor.
Custom Interface(with Clips) and Software Chromakeyer options included – one low cost for everything.
Where suitable lines are available graphics can be tied to the pitch while the camera is moving – more engaging graphics, sponsorship placements.
Video based – no need to be at game and even works with archive materials.
GUI based line tracking calibration procedure – Quick and easy to use.
Save pitch calibrations (so long as camera positions are always the same) – Be ready quickly on feeds.
The Scene Saver’s capability is extended, now also saves chroma settings, clip information and camera tracking files – enables user to move from clip to clip and quickly be able to add sophisticated graphics.
Line tracking supports on up to 5 cameras – Switch between cameras and tracking automatically recalibrates. So switch quickly between working on camera 1 and both the 18 yard cameras quickly and without adjusting settings.
Link the real world objects to the virtual stadium with correct positioning – Take objects such as the players and ball into the virtual stadium to create new camera views.

The custom interface is intended for situations where the touchscreen is a big part of the studio show, this allows programmes to create their own unique look and feel to the touchscreen, allowing differentiation from other users and the incorporation of channel branding and sponsors values.

Layout your touchscreen controls your way – further enhances your unique look but is also crucial when working with large (bigger than 40”) screens.
This allows graphics with a 3d perspective to have artefacts such as the players keyed on top. There is a chromakeyer that delivers high quality results when the back ground key colour is constant, and also a sophisticated segment keyer that handles situations such as stadium shade where it is required to key on 2 or more colours. Neither of which require any additional hardware. Again, a clear focus has been applied to good results in the field:
- Easy to use. The Chromakeyer has an “Auto” option, the Segment Keyer a pipette to select colours.
- Scene Saver to associate keyer settings with the clips.
- Automatic edge detection for player drag graphics, no need to manually create a mask – just click on a player and move it.
The Pro version builds on the support of ptz encoded heads with vision based camera tracking techniques. This opens up options for the system to be used away from the game or event, to be used on archive footage and saves on the costs and man power needed with encoded heads. Vision based tracking is the future!

Feature Tracking. This adds a range of additional capabilities such as robust tied to pitch graphics on surfaces without suitable lines, or when the cameras go in tight on football pitches, the ability to click and track on moving objects and the creation of quick pseudo cameras. So 2nd tier sports stadiums with low cameras, athletics, horse racing are all possibilities.
Main Concept (SD/HD Lay Off) Module. This allows the creation and laying off of analysis clips to the local disk of the tOG Sports system. These can be played to air from the tOG Sports system or handled as a file and moved around the network. The file format is MXF and the range of codecs supported includes DV25/50/100 pro and AVC50/100 Intra, thus covering the requirements of most professional broadcasters. It may require Solid State Disk (SSDs) to be installed on your hardware.
Dual Video Input. Upgrade the DVS video card to dual input to provide an external video source, for example for live or near to live content to be used as content in the virtual jumbotron.
tOG-Edit. Create your own custom graphics using our off the shelf 3d graphics creation tool, tOG-Edit. Alternatively RT Software can provide custom graphics for you.
RT Software’s new vision based camera tracking is opening up new options for advanced analysis and additional virtual advertising revenue streams.
Camera Tracking Modes
This is the simplest, entry level mode for tOG-Sports telestration – the basis of the tOG-Sports Lite product and included with all tOG-Sports products.
This is available as an optional module to tOG-Sports Lite and is included as standard on the Pro version of the product.
2D Pixel Tracking
Available as the 2D Track optional module on all tOG-Sports products, or with the Feature Tracking bundle for Pro.
