Swift Edit (editing package) and Swift Live (live gallery operator’s interface) are both web based, running in a Chrome browser. These can be easily deployed in any location that is convenient for the users. This can include the user’s AMPP browser.
Swift supports graphics previewing high quality proxy video streams, served from our DataServer which can be deployed locally or remotely in public cloud such as AWS.
Our Swift Engine render engines support all video broadcast standards and have been deployed in tier1 broadcast environments for many years, with proven reliability.

Robust management of assets and graphics projects is handled by our MediaWatcher and Repository tools which ensure the latest versions of projects and current data feeds are used by the renderers.

Our graphics technology is available either as an internal component within GV’s integrated playout devices, or as a standalone render engine to be controlled by traditional playout automation. The majority of playout today are for integrated playout solutions. However there is still an occasional need for independent Swift Engine renderers where specific resolutions or frame rates may not available in the integrated playout product itself.
In practice most graphics used for channel branding are 2 dimensional. To ensure there are cost savings wherever possible, we offer our integration as either an 2D or 3D option. This means the graphics editor costs can also be kept low and you will only require Swift CG for 2D, or Swift CG+ for 3D.
Grass Valley can provide Swift for Switchers as a graphics option for its switcher solutions.
Swift for Switchers has been designed to make producing graphics quick and easy. Now available from GV as a low cost annual software subscription for Kula, Kahuna and Masterpiece it is the ideal route to adding graphics overlays to your live productions.

Graphic templates created on our Swift for Switchers software – typically installed on a graphics laptop – can be modified or populated with user content close to air and then rendered as a finished asset in the form of a compatible image sequence file.

Software Downloads
All of RT Software’s broadcast graphics products feature a modular render engine. This means they can be upgraded to provide whatever broadcast output standard is required, so the basic file based Swift for Switchers can be upgraded to provide live baseband SDI or ST2110 output up to and including HDR UHD. The full range of RT Software products encompasses on screen overlays, full screen graphics, virtual studios & AR, video walls and sports analysis / telestration.

Rio’s high-end post production workflows can be further enhanced by adding the Swift Advanced Graphics option. Either 2D or full 3D graphics can be created in our offline Swift CG /CG+ editor, then pushed to the Rio system where our plugin allows the graphic items to be added to the timeline and adjusted at will. Once the edit is completed, the finished movie is rendered out to file as normal.
Use our intuitive Tactic range of sports analysis and telestration products together with your GV Replay system. We work directly with the clips being recorded on your replay server and add the extra drama and excitement with graphics to highlight players movements and close calls. Record the finished clip back to the server, and play to air.
RT Software has been a long time supporter of NDI and is a member of the NDI Developer Network. All our Swift broadcast graphics systems come with NDI as standard, making Swift a natural choice for any NDI based solution.
Tactic is a natural partner for a Newtek replay server, and offers best in class telestration controls and analysis graphics to highlight the action of any live sports event.
We work directly with the clips being recorded on your 3Play server and add the extra graphics needed to highlight players movements and close calls. Record the finished clip back to the server, and play to air.

Our graphics technology is now an option alongside Pebble’s other internal components of their Integrated Channel device.
Most Pebble customers will be interested in using Swift as a component within their Integrated Channel. But should there be a requirement for a standalone graphics engine, this is also an option and can be controlled from Pebble’s Playout Automation product as an independent device.
