Press Release – Complimentary Tactic sports analysis licences

London, 14 April 2020 – Initially driven by the dramatic reduction in graphics operator and replay server work, but also as a way of helping broadcasters add value to archive material for sports magazine shows, RT Software is offering free of charge temporary licences across its Tactic product range. Tactic is used for enhancing sports content with telestration graphics which can then either be used as full screen clips or with a touchscreen for more interactive presentation in a studio show. These packages were launched on 1st April and initially targeted at the freelance community. They comprise of free of charge temporary (3 month) licences for both the Tactic Lite and Tactic Advanced products along with complimentary online training material. The licences are full broadcast specification licences that can be used by broadcasters in production. We have seen an increase at the broadcasters in leveraging archive content and this is potentially a way of enhancing it, especially if it is possible to combine with touchscreen presentation.” added Mike Fredriksen, Commercial Director at RT Software. “Of course with the scale of restrictions in place any work at all is difficult but our products do have a file based workflow and just need a mid-level or above laptop so are easily deployed and suitable for home working”. For broadcasters using RT Software’s on screen graphics solutions, there is also an option for complimentary WebControl licences to facilitate remote production and homeworking.
